A Very Prairie Christmas:

We've added some additional classes taught by our very own Julie Geiger to complement the weekend.
Welcome to our first “Very Prairie Christmas” celebration. We hope the weekend will be a magical experience as you delight in creating heartfelt seasonal gifts and decorations. A trunk show with Karla Eisenach is sure to inspire you to head home and delve into a project or two. Opportunities for shopping will also be a highlight of the weekend.
Featured Teachers:
Karla Eisenach of Sweetwater calls Fort Morgan, Colorado home. Karla and her two daughters design fabric collections for Moda, scrapbook paper, and a line of self-published patterns. You might remember Karla from her days designing under the name “Farmyard Creations”. Karla’s whimsical approach will make you smile. Some of our favorite fabric lines by Karla include Hometown, Reunion, and Mama Said Sew. Learn Karla’s tips for creating quick and easy décor. Discover more about Karla at

Julie Geiger, owner of Prairie Point Junction has been a fan of fabric since she was a child. In 1998 Julie combined her love of fabric and retail to open the shop here in Cozad. Julie loves to share her passion for quilting whenever she can. As an extremely patient teacher, Julie will make sure you walk away from class with the confidence, tips and tricks to complete your project.

Spradlin.
We are
thrilled to welcome Cozad
native, Peg Spradlin as our
featured teacher for the
weekend. Peg has been
quilting out of her home in
rural Cozad, Nebraska on
her domestic Bernina sewing
machine for over 20 years.
Sheʼs a home sewer and
pattern tester for
Quiltmaker, Quilterʼs
Newsletter, Connecting
Threads and Marcus Fabrics.
She specializes in precision
piecing but her true love
is quilting the top with
lots of trapunto and dense
background stitching. Peg
teaches these techniques in
classes all over the
country. Peg has had
quilts and articles published in Quiltmaker,
Quilt It, Quilterʼs
Newsletter, and Machine
Quilting Unlimited, and is a
regular contributor to
Quiltmakerʼs 100 Blocks and
Quilts from Quiltmakerʼs 100
Blocks. Pegʼs trunk show
will include both her
personal quilts and selected
quilts from Quiltmaker
and Quilterʼs Newsletter
magazine.

Class
Policies & Skill Level Suggestions:
Beginner
1: No previous quilting experience needed.
Beginner
2: Familiar with rotary cutting & basic piecing
skills.
Intermediate: Comfortable with basics, ready for a
challenge.
Pre-registration and payment of class fees is
required to secure your place in class. Phone registrations
hold spot for 48 hours.
Registrations cancelled more than 7
days before class will receive store credit for class fees. After
this time, no credit can be given.
Sewing machine in good
working order required for most classes.
Many classes have a
minimum registration. You may want to wait to purchase
supplies until the class fills. Your support in buying class
supplies here is appreciated to help keep class fees low. We offer a
10% discount on supplies purchased for class. Due to copyright laws,
each student in class must purchase their own copy of the book or
pattern used. Classes are designed to teach skills for a particular
project.
Time and individual sewing differences usually
don't allow for finishing a project in class.
Finishing
techniques are not addressed unless otherwise noted.
