9:00-4:00 Jodi Barrows Square in a Square: Prairie Claw Workshop at the Wilson Public Library. (910 Meridian) This is a hands-on workshop. Students will be sewing blocks for the Prairie Claw quilt. Workshop fee $75.00 plus book, ruler and supplies.

7:00 p.m. Jodi Barrows lecture
at the 100th Meridian Museum (206 East 8th)
A program for book lovers and quilt enthusiasts! Jodi will focus this talk on her novels as she brings the era alive with her fictional stories based on the women in her family who left Louisiana before the Civil War and settled in Texas. Full of adventures, heart ache, quilting and drama, she is sure to entertain all audiences.
Admission: Freewill donation to the 100th Meridian Museum.

10:30 Jodi Barrows Lecture: Square in a Square Overview, Chipper Hall
Jodi will concentrate on her amazing Square in a Square Technique of quilting that has revolutionized the quilting world. Rotary cutting and strip piecing allows quilters to achieve perfect points with improved accuracy, simplicity of construction and speed. Jodi will showcase her technique through demo boards. This is a lecture format only, guests will not be sewing.

In this lecture Jodi will cover the history of cotton and the women who love quilts. She goes back to the beginning of the actual cotton plant and how it wove itself through our American history, molding and shaping the lives of women. This simple fiber created millionaires, began a revolution of textile mills and pulled a country apart in the American Civil War.
